    Hogspear on Ebay

There is a site on Ebay that goes by the name of Hogspear, that frequently has items of Highland military dress including Kilts, Mess Dress, Sporrans and Hose. Right now there are several set of diced hose for sale. Take a look. It is worth it.

Hogspear is one of my saved vendors. The thing is, every time I have bid on one of there sales, I have always been outbid. And every time the final sale price is more than the item is worth. What does this all mean - I don't know. Except that Hogspear must be a damn good vendor.

    Regards

Hogspear is entertaining, if nothing else. Sad experience has taught me the two rules of eBay:
    1) If you like it (and think you want to buy it), don't mention it to another soul.
    2) It ain't over till it's over. The only time to bid is when there is no time for anyone to bid after you.

Others may wax philosophical about bidding strategies, auction mania, feeding frenzies, etc. I figure the safest thing to do is to be absolutely sure you want something, be absolutely ruthless about what you are willing to pay ( no whining when someone else gets it for a nickel more) and then go about the most efficient means of buying it. I haven't used sniper software, but there is very little question that it works. The best buys on eBay are the items that are misdescribed or the ones that somehow get missed otherwise.

My wife made a comment using the term "Major Hogspear" referring to overly large epaulettes on a custom design coatee for one of the forum members earlier this week. I thought it was the funniest thing I'd ever heard "IF he wears that coat with those epaulettes, he's gonna look like Major Hogspear". ANyway, I googled the term and saw this site-Very neat stuff indeed!
