Bowmore Hose frae Redshank!
Recently I ordered a pair of the House of Chevoit’s Bowmore range of kilt hose from our own Redshank at http://dunaddtradingcompany.co.uk/Co...yKiltHose.aspx . I prefer “diced” hose tops with day wear, and the Bowmore range was a unique twist on the style. Chris recommended the Loden hose to go with my Iowa state tartan kilt, and when they arrived, I knew I had made the right choice:

I wore them for the first time last Thursday for a presentation about the Scottish roots of Ozarks culture to the local chapter of the PEO, one of the oldest sororities in the United States. I heard several positive comments about them from the ladies.
The hose themselves are certainly the “sturdiest” day hose I have own, save my oatmeal and green-diced hose from the Almost Unwearoutable Sock Company that I wear with my Cumming Hunting kilt. The only “fault” I could find is that they are just a wee bit long, and require a double turn-over at the cuff (I believe forrestermodern mentioned this as well in his recent review), but that is minor in the long run.
I certainly would recommend these hose to anyone looking for a unique pair of hose for their day attire, and I would highly recommend Chris for his customer service – it was a pleasure doing business with him. He was always quick to respond to queries, and the hose arrived in the colonies in about a week, just as he promised.
Next on the agenda: one of the Mackie bonnets!
Guid on ya, Chris!
