Greetings and salutations!
Hello there!
My name is Caleb and I live in NE Ohio. This past July, at a Homeschool Alumni get-together my family hosted, was my first time in kilt since I was 4 years old, when I was infatuated (as much as a 4-year old could be) with Scotland, kilts and bagpipes. In fact, I told my parents that I wanted to 'be a bagpipe' I know better now, of course, how physically impossible that is.
Anyway, the kilt I wore belonged to a friend, Gabe, (Hothir Ethelnor) who attended the gathering, and I loved it!
Several weeks ago, I made a trip up to Gabe's house, and with his instruction and help, I made my own kilt, (knife pleated, Caledonia tartan.) I am now looking into accessories. I have a Caledonia waistcoat cut out and partially sewn, I'm still trying to decide whether I want pockets or not...I hate decisions like that...
Anyway, I live with my family, I have five siblings, (3 brothers, 2 sisters), and I'm the second oldest, (brother and child, hence my username.)
I enjoy promotional video editing (only a hobby at this point), sewing, reading, writing, drawing and social networking (that last one, perhaps a bit too much, my mom would say...and I would have to agree with her...).
I look forward to learning more about what's what in the world of kilt-making and -wearing. I'm an old hand at online forums, but a newbie at kilts, so I'll do my best, and any advice would be most welcome.
Blessings,
~2nd

Welcome from a Whidbey Islander currently in the middle of nowhere.
The grass is greener on the other side of the fence...and it's usually greenest right above the septic tank.

from South Wales UK!
And having seen the photo of the Caledonia in your album you have done a very good job on your first kilt under the tutelage of Hothir (Gabe)!
