Kilts & Roller Derby - They just go Together
A few XMTS members have recently written on the sub-subculture of gentlemen kilties gravitating around the subculture sport of women's roller derby. I have found this to be true. Recently, our own 'Antonio', himself a scoring official and photographer for the Molly Rogers derby organization out of Space Coast, Florida, posted pic's of himself attending a 'bout' kilted. I have kilted for numerous recent bouts and have receiving MANY compliments. During the derby bout a gentleman was walking the crowd in a black Utilikilt. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get a picture. However,...
For your enjoyment (for the sport, certainly not from my dreadful appearance), please see the links below to Jacksonville.com for pic's of this weekend's double-header bout of the Jacksonville Roller Girls.
First link is me and my lovely wife and roller derby skater, Ann-Marie (aka 'Kilted Chaos'). She in her SK super-mini Buchanan Modern and I in my SW heavyweight Black Stewart and FB muskrat sporran. Disclaimer: My humble apologies to those diehard hose and ties/flashes fans; it's been 'AMAZON' hot and humid in Jacksonville lately!!!
Second link is to other general pic's (click back one more time for other galleries of the skating).

dude this is true even up here in Canada. The Winnipeg Roller Derby League has a referee that wears a black utilikilt during matches.

That's good to hear, Cloves. On Sep 18, Antonio and his Molly Rogers will come to Jacksonville to play our Roller Girls. I might even have some of our St. Andrews Society folks making a cameo. Going to be a great time, and since Antonio is a photographer we will undoubtedly have some photos to share.

Having met the lovely and gracious Mrs. West on a number of occasions, I must say that I'm looking forward to seeing her alter-ego in action!
