This dance was written by my SCD's teacher's husband for her. I was telling Jamie about it, so I thought I'd post it here I hope you try it out. Joannie's Hornpipe (Hornpipe 8x32) 3C (4C set) J Reeves TAC 50th Anniversary 1-8 1s turn RH & cast 1 place, 2s step up on bars 3 and 4, 1s turn left hand 1 1/4 times to end facing 1st corners, woman between the 2s and man between the 3s. 9-16 Dance LS reels of 3 across the set (1L with 2s 1M with 3s) 1s finish BtoB in the centre of the set 1L facing up 1M facing down. 17-18 Join hands as in Double Triangles, 1L with 2s, 1M with 3s all set. 19-20 All dance forward 2 pas de basque steps and pull RS back. 21-22 Join hands as in Double Triangles, 1L with the 2s 1M with the 3s, all set. 23-24 All dance forward 2 pas de basque step, 2s and 3s finish in original places facing in, 1s finish in the centre of the set, 1L facing down, 1M facing up. 25-26 1s holding both hands (as in Poussette) set on R foot and move to the Left, 1s are now facing the opposite sides. 27-28 1s repeat bars 25-26, 1L is now facing up 1M is now facing down. 29-30 1s repeat bars 25-26, 1s are now facing their own side. 31-32 1s drop hands and with two skip change of step, pass RS and dance out to 2nd place on their own sides.
I am teaching moving in Pas de basque and Petronella next week, I may try at least a portion of this in class.
