    Wedding kilt was a hit

No pics as yet but the Alt.kilt I wore (in the gunn tartan) was a hit even as it was worn next to my father's more traditional knife pleat.

I could not have been more happy with it.

    Tartan Alt Kilt

I really like Jeanie's work, I can't wait to see pics of what she did with tartan. I am very intrigued.

If I could find a picture that did it justice I'd post it but so far all the digicam shots from the wedding lose all the tartan detail. The modern Gunn is a little on the dark side as opposed to the ancient my father wore which really popped in the photos so far.

    But I'll find one......

On the far left is my father's brother, David. Next to him is my father who didn't tell anyone he was showing up in a kilt.

The other guy is the groom-- by this point it is about 80 degrees in the 1920s Frank Lloyd Wright church (he clearly didn't believe in air conditioning) and in about 30 minutes after this pic, I'm wishing I had not insisted that we get married in the same church as mom got married (and had her funeral) in. (I don't regret it a bit, heat and all).
