It's only been a week? Or: Vicarious jonesing
After borrowing one of my kilts a few times, a mate of mine (who previously said he'd never wear one) ordered one of his own a bit ago. This morning he lamented:
"it was only a week and a half ago that I ordered my kilt? feels longer than that"
He's already getting a taste of the jones, but he didn't find that nearly as funny as I did when he told me He claims that he won't be wearing his as much as I wear mine... but we'll see once the bug has gotten a good firm bite.
Unfortunately, his anxiousness has started a small jones in me, as well! Mostly I'm eager to see what the tartan will look like fully done up. But spreading the addiction is fun, too It also is making me want to accelerate the order of my own next kilt...

I know the feeling. One of my cousins is just in the researching phase of his first kilt (i brought him the Celtic Croft catalog and one of my USAK casuals to check out this weekend) and it's got me itching to order my next one!

I refer to the phenomenon as a "contact jones" or "jones by association"
I KNOW it will affect me if I continue to read the "I just got a new..." or "I just placed an order for..." threads!
