G'day from downunder
G'day guys,
Just thought I'd jump on board and say hello (gets me away from watching the Aussies getting pummelled by the Poms at the moment )
Name's Kieren, living in Perth, Western Australia. Have no Scottish links other than being a Freemason under the Grand Lodge of Scotland, and wished to get more "traditional" by deciding to dress appropriatly for our meetings.
My younger brother currently lives in Edinburgh, and is visiting us in Perth for christmas this year, so have taken the plunge and asked him to bring a kilt over - my first .
We decided (he's quite knowledgable on kilts and most things Scottish), on getting me a Black Watch tartan kilt, and have left the accessories up to his choice, as he's a regular kilt wearer, both for hiking and socialising.
So, there's a little about me, and why I joined the forum, so will be hoping for lots of advise on how to wear both formally and socially, together with some do's and dont's on what to do with my anticipated new attire!
Best regards to all.
Cheers,
KIEREN

G'day mate and welcome to Xmarks, it's good to have another aussie on the forum. I was over your part of the country about 6 weeks ago for a wedding. Not having been to Perth for 10 years, it has certainly changed, in fact, she that must be obeyed, started thinking about moving there.
