My grandmother is turning 90 next month and the family is having a shin-dig. She is the one who caused my love affair with tartan, mostly by giving me an LL Bean shirt in the Lindsay. Her mother was the first in her family born in the States after emigrating from Scotland and her father was from Nova Scotia.
Now, gifts are not something that are really desired, but there is a scrapbook being put together for her.I do plan to be kilted at some point in the festivities. But I was wondering though...do any of you know of any poems (Scottish or not) that talk about grandmothers and how wonderful they are? Or songs?
Thanks!
