I am new to this forum and need a bit of help.

My Father's family (Murphy) came from Ireland four generations ago.

While my Mothers family (Boyd)came from Scotland three generations ago.

I have located both tartans (Irish-Murphy & Scotish-Boyd) but do not know which I should wear.

Any help would be great. I am open to ideas.
