New tank arrived, another "A" for STM

My tank arrived Friday, but I wasn't home to sign for it. Got it today, well inside the 8-12 week window posted on the STM website.

Quality appears to be A+ all around, I am not expert on these things. My fiance likes it, that's important. It is much nicer than my (much less expensive) off the peg knife pleated 5 yarder.

I get the difference between working directly with a kilt maker versus hiring someone to be a middleman between me and the actual kiltmaker. I understood that going in, I support the mission of the STM enough to deal with it. And I figure if anyone from the States has to call Scotland, Matt would be the guy to have make that call.

I am honestly itching to order a bias cut waistcoat while Loch Carron is still cutting from the same roll of cloth; but I would probably only wear it twice lifetime.

Also trotting out my new "Ancient blue" Lewis/ House of Cheviot hose in these pics. I struggle pairing green hose with a green kilt; some of the rabble carry it off beautifully, I don't appear confident pictured that way.

The yellow flashes co-ordinate well with the bridesmaid's dresses, I think I'll get some mileage out of them after the wedding too.

Satisfied customer, I guess I'll have to order another kilt in my clan red so my green hose don't go to waste.

Looks grand, and would also be just as nice with the other hose.

Looks great! Feel free to wear ANY color hose you want with that tartan as well: Red, Yellow, Blue, Green, Black (gasp), etc...

Looks great, Scott! That's a great tartan which many colors of hose would look good with. You've got lots of options there.

And so it goes; of course you'll need to order another kilt in order to go with your other hose

As for the tartan waistcoat, I'd say go for it. I bought a kilt off eBay that came with a matching vest (both in MacQuarrie modern) and at first I was a little leery of wearing that much tartan. Now that I have them, I really like it and wore them for tartan day with a tweed jacket. You might get more use out of a tartan vest than you think...
