    Maximum jones

I ordered my tank in October and was expecting it in the promised 10 to 12 weeks. I called to check in with my kilt maker in January and was told she had just ordered the wool. So I figured another 10 weeks, fast forward. A second call end of March, she fell and fractured her wrist half way through pleating. She says she is find it only required some bolts and screws to put her back together again. O M F G only bolts and screws. I am not know to have great compassion but my kilt, I think I got a tear in my beer. Thankfully Rocky had got my casual kilt to me for St Patricks day. Just venting that's all.

So does she have another date for you? Man I would be in convulsions of stress if that happened to me

Well it is here, finally after a seven month wait my tank has arrived. Pictures to follow 36 pleats in all and weighing in at a around nine pounds, about the same as my birth weight it is in my possession.

The wait would drive any person crazy, but I can't say I could come up with an appropriate reaction to "it will only take a couple screws to put me back together." Can't wait to see pictures.

What a travail! You must have the patience of Job. Glad to read that you finally have your kilt. What tartan is it made from? Or, you can surprise us with the pics.

You might want to shop around for another kilt maker. Why did it take so long to place the order? The last cloth I requested took the kiltmaker one day to place the order - a call to the weaver.
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

Slowburn, having gone through agonisingly long waits not only for my kilt, but also for a repair kit (the buckles were sewn on with the wrong thread) and a leather sporran strap (to replace the chain strap that broke; the new one arrived today), I can sympathise.
Enjoy your kilt. It won’t be long before you want another!
    Regards,
    Mike
