Well done, Robert!
As to pictures, Photobucket is just about the easiest.

Agree. Basically, upload photots online, display them "full size", copy the URL, come back here, post new comment, click on the Insert Image icon (next to the one that looks like a Film Strip), paste URL.
Curious to know what about Barb's instructions you did not follow. I'm getting ready to rip my fabric in half to start building my kilt in XMarks the Scot tartan.

Well with barbs instructions I used the instructions as a general guideline but as I was using poly viscous material I did a lot of machine stitching with the lleats so that I could throw the monster in the washer if I needed to. Because of my natural waist size I had a bit of fun was in preparing my pleats with 6-1/2 yards folded into pleats in the rear and anoth 2-1/2 in aprons. So my kilt turned out to be a 9 yard knife pleat kilt. I did follow the instructions for cutting the excess material and lining the kilt but instead of duck cloth I used a plot/cotton blend fabric a.k.a. the material Dickies are made out of, which gives substance without too much rigidity. I'm not trying to sound like a snob I am just excited to share lol oh and made some neat kilt flashes also to have fun with!

Looking forward to your pictures.

Barb's book is " The Art of Kiltmaking" it's a book that every do it yourself kilti should have! It's the best reference I have found plus it teaches you how to make the kilts properly the way traditional kilt makers make them.

I think it is very cool that you have plunged in with both feet into the making and wearing of kilts!

This book is a gem, I used it as a guide to making my running kilt and will use it when I sew my Xmarks fabric. Dont buy it from Amazon as they want 95-130 bucks for it.. The books sells for 35 at the url below.

I find the book invaluable to making kilts weather you follow it page by page or just adapt Barb's techniques and knowledge to your needs.

Plus, Barb gets a cut of the money if you buy it new, and that's worth it to me, even if I find it cheaper used.
