new kilt wearer in North Carolina
I just made my first kilt. Tartan is expensive so I made my fist one Woodland Camoflage. But I'm going to save up for tartan either American or U.S. Army. I've been wanting to wear a kilt since I read R. A. Heinlein's "Methuselah's Children" in whitch all men wear kilts.
Everything in excess! To enjoy the flavor of life, take big bites. Moderation is for monks. From the note books of Lazurus Long aka: Woodrow Wilson Smith

As a fellow North Carolinian and someone also new to wearing kilts (public debut this Saturday), I bid you welcome. From my limited experience on this site, it has proved to be friendly, informative, and entertianing.

Welcome to the forum from another mil-spec kilt wearer and Wilmington native who has ended up in the mountains. Isn't NC a wonderfully diverse state?

What pattern/instructions did you use?
Are you going to debut on Saturday as well?
