    Not again!!

Anyone else getting the "URL 123" when attempting to access the site via Google? It appears to be the same thing as earlier this year. I just want to commit serious bodily harm on the people who do this stuff!

I tried to access it via Google, as you did, and I got the same message.

It just did it to me, but if I stepped backwards and then re-clicked and got straight in.

I have the site bookmarked and it is one of my favourites, so when I power-up half a dozen of my sites come up automatically. It cannot be any quicker going through Google than just typing in xmarksthescot.com yourself. Or am I missing something here?

    Regards

    Chas

I encounter the same problem on my Blackberry (though I avoid it by having the site bookmarked).

Yup, it only happens when attempting to go to the site via a Google search. I, too, have the site bookmarked and can access the site without problem via my bookmarks. This has happened before - has this issue been brought to the attention of the moderators / administrators? If memory serves me correctly, someone had to contact Google in order to have the issue resolved....

Strangely enough I had never experienced this till tonight. I tried to access an old xmarks thread from a Yahoo search and instead I got the URL123 which told me I was one step away from accessing the site which I wanted but first I needed to complete an offer.
I managed to escape using the back button and logged on directly to xmarksthescot but now I am repeatedly getting a flashing prompt inviting me to open "Windows Command Processor". I won't open it but I wish the wretched thing would stop flashing, I've lost count of the number of times I have closed it and it starts up again after a few seconds.
Looks like there is a hacker out there.

Hm, glad it wasn't just me. Was going to blame somebody for downloading something onto my computer.

Well I have now done a system restore and got rid of the annoying flashing pop up, but that has just wasted fully half an hour of precious browsing time. The idiots who create this nonsense ought to be made to pay for my time!
