    Finally Got Kilted

    Greeting,

After many years of wishing and wanting, I have finally acquired my first kilt from AmeriKilt. I bought it at a festival and changed into the kilt on the spot wearing it for the rest of the evening.

Two days later, I found myself ordering another. This time from UT. I also have ordered matching kilts for my employees as they have wanted them the same as myself and, remembering what it was like not to have the spare change, I ordered them for the other two as well.

We all plan to wear them on various outings together and, of course, I will post pics when we do.

I have also downloaded the x-kilt .pdf as I sew and plan to atleast make one just so I can say that I have.

    Glad to be here.

I had a good laugh at the above statement because that's exactly what I did. My wife and I met Michael, at his AmeriKilt booth during the Chesapeake Celtic Festival in Snow Hill, MD, several years ago. He had a nice saffron kilt that fit me so my wife bought it for me. I slipped behind one of the exhibits, put it on and wore it the rest of the day (and even to a restaurant after we left the festival). AK makes an outstanding utility style kilt in my opinion.

Anyway, glad your kilted and have decided to join the rabble. We look forward to your participation.

Simon Fraser fought as MacShimidh, a Highland chief… wrapped and belted in a plaid over the top of his linen shirt, like his ordinary kinsmen. He put a bonnet on his head, and stuck the Fraser emblem, a sprig of yew, in it. With the battle cry, A'Chaisteal Dhunaidh and the scream of the pipes, they charged to battle. "The Last Highlander" Sara Fraser
