Hello there, My first name is Sebastien, I'm french (nobody is perfect :-) My wife and I, we love Scotland and we visit this country on a regular basis, with one of our vintage cars. I do not own any kilt yet, but I shall probably buy one of these marvellous scottish attires in the future. I have only small knowledge about the kilts yet, but, for exemple, I know the difference between the military pleating and the pleating wich recreat the pattern of the tartan, so : "I'm not a complet dummy, Guv' :-)" Yours aye

Welcome to the Rabble.
You've certainly come to the right place to learn more about tartan, and any thing related, however loosely, to the wearing o'the kilt.

Perhaps, but if you're from France, you are vanishingly close.
Welcome from the mountains of northern New Mexico! I hope you enjoy the XMTS forum.
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.
