Hello
Hello,
I just registered with this forum but admit that I have lurked here off and on for quite awhile, especially using it to search for various answers in the past.
My name is Isaac and I am from Wisconsin. 16 years ago, I studied a semester in Scotland while at University. While there, I purchased a kilt. Originally, I had planned on getting one in my family tartan (two sets of grandparents were Campbells and another associated with this clan), but being a "poor college student" ended up purchasing an ex-military kilt which I dropped the rise of to make it more wearable as civvie wear.
Over the years, I have tried to wear this kilt occasionally but have recently decided that I need (yes, need... not want) to wear it more. I truly love this part of my heritage and my own past (as do I the other parts as well) and want my children to group up seeing this.
A final note... I am also a historical enthusiast and reenactor (as well as a high school history teacher). To admit, I am actually quite addicted to history. Although I do not generally reenact Scottish history, I am particularly interested in it.
Isaac
