Any ideas one the type? Will wear it for every day use and for going out? The casual or the formal for everyday What is the diffence in wear of the different types? Casual is wash and wear. Formal has sewn pleats and "can be" wash and wear depending on the material. It's MUCH less maintenance. Cleaning? Again... depends on the material. The blends are wash and wear, the wools are best to dry clean A bunch of the guys I know are thinking anout getting one any group discounts? Let us know whtat you're talking about in numbers, and we're good at groups! Hope that helps a bit?!

Welcome to the board Sulli, glad you found us. How about going to Kilt Board Newbie and telling us a little about yourself and of your interest in kilts? I hope you will find the answers you need here and the encouragment to wear the kilt.
Hello, Sulli! You'll be wearing the kilt daily if your not careful. It is highly addicting. Don't say we didn't warn you! Larry

If you plan on wearing your kilt for day to day events make sure you get on that is machine washable/dryable and will hold the pleats.
Hey Sulli, Thanks for the inquiry! If you click on the individual types of Kilts on our site (www.usakilts.com), there's a description of each. Main difference between the Philabeg and the casual is that the Philabeg has smaller and deeper pleats and comes with the pleats sewn down (on the edges). That way they keep "crisper" longer and when you DO go to iron them, there's no lining up the tartan... it basically falls into place. MUCH less care required. Drop me a line and I'll give you a more detailed description if you like. The materials vary from Cotton Poly to Wool to wool blends to Poly Viscose (looks and feels like wool, but it's washable). We are leaning toward exclusively carrying Poly Vis as it is so popular and we get so many requests for it (and it's easy as hell to sew). You can call me at the shop at 610.650.USAK. There may be a group discount depending on the size of the group. We can talk about that when you call.
