Greetings from Maine
After lurking a bit, I thought I should finally join the rabble and make it official. I'm Greg and I live in central Maine. I was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska. Lucky for me, I met a Maine girl years ago and followed her home.
I've got Celtic links (Irish, Scots & Welsh) via my adoptive family. Recently, I discovered my birth mother was Scots and from here in New England! I've long been interested in Celtic arts, music and culture. I'm currently un-kilted (de-kilted?) but I'm working to remedy that situation. The advertisers on this site are certainly providing a lot of temptation.
Besides info on the kilt, I'm anxious to get any advice on upcoming Scottish/Celtic festivals in New England. I'm already planning on attending Glasgowlands in Mass.

Hello from Connecticut! There are some great Highland games in New England. The Maine games in Topsham along the southern coast for starters. If you can make it, the New Hampshire games are the premier games in New England and they are in Lincoln NH in mid September.
