    Wedding kilt and accessories.

How much silver is in good taste for me to wear being a new minister and prociding over my daughters wedding?
Do not know which kilt yet, but I don't wear gold anything. So silver it is.

    Thank you.

Depends on a lot of things - what are the sensitivities of your denomination? How formal is the wedding? What time of day is it being held? What are your daughter's and wife's tastes? How will other guests be dressed?

    Help us out here.

My father is a minister going on 30 years in the pastorate. I've never seen him wear a lot of jewelry. I don't recall seeing a minister or clergy otherwise with too much bling at a wedding. Usually very little. (IE-just a ring, tie clip, or whatever buttons/cufflinks are seen). Since you are going to wear Highland dress, maybe keep it limited to sporran, kilt pin, and buttons for example. As I said in your other thread, a general rule is that the focus should be on the bride and groom (mostly the bride). Since it is your daughter, ask her what she thinks would be good as far as how much silver.

Just my thoughts. Best wishes for the happy couple.

If you are wearing a Prince Charlie, the silver buttons with the silver sporran chain would be plenty. If you are wearing a day jacket, tie tack and cuff links.

Thank you all for the information. I will talk to my daughter and my wife.

I plan on wearing a dress coat altered to kilt specifics.
