    Mahogany Daywear Leather Sporran

    Greetings rabble !

I ran across this mahogany leather sporran the other day. I was looking at simple leather daywear sporrans and I took a liking to this one . It is a simple design with a touch of tooling / stamping . I have a full range of sporrans but couldn't resist looking around and was thinking of making the purchase . ( SonsOfPlunder , $ 75 )

Any thoughts ? If you don't care for it , no worries here , I am thick skinned .

    Cheers , Mike

Nice shape and colour. Shame about the tooling and the catch. Well, you did ask!

I'm sort of in agreement with Jock. Nice shape & colour, I actually think the tooling is quite nice, though I'd have preferred it if it were a celtic motif. As it is, it's a bit LOTR. Don't like the catch.

On balance, I like it more than a whole lot of sporrans I've seen.

Thanks Calqacus , I agree , too bad the tooling wasn't a more Celtic motif .

It's a winner. I'm not overly keen on the latch but the rest of it is spot on to my eyes. Good score

I like the shape I like the colour I like the catch as well . but I think some kind of Celtic banding would have looked better round the out side and id have liked a Celtic cross in the middle if I was going to have it .

The leather is a lovely colour. Like others, I'd prefer it without the tooling and clasp, but I don't think they look bad. Just not my style. I suspect that they might not stand out so much if someone was wearing it. Sometimes a close-up photograph can really magnify details like that...

I like it, but I agree with Jock that a simple snap closure and no tooling would make it a more traditional leather daywear sporran. I think this would be a great sporran to wear to a ren faire.
