    Belt Buckle review

While at the Pleasanton Games last Saturday I chanced to go by the vendor that was selling this belt buckle along with many other buckles, kilt pins, brooches etc. I immediately fell in love with this buckle but as it was expensive I had to think about it for a couple of days. Wednesday I decided to go for broke, literally and figuratively, and ordered it. It arrived today and I have to say it is beautiful, or at least I think so.
It is very heavy, measures just under 4 inches wide (98mm) and the casting (lead free pewter) is clean and clear. All in all worth every penny it cost me.
I was told by the maker that although they have been making kilt pins, brooches etc. for many years that they have just recently started making buckles. Unfortunately they do not show any buckles yet on there web site but it appears that many of the brooches they show can and are also made as buckles. The website for this company is www.nagleforge.com. If you are looking for something a little different I highly recommend that you check them out.

That's a really gorgeous buckle! I much prefer round buckles on kilt belts and I bet this one is stunning in person. Thanks for posting up their website too. I know where I'll be getting my next kilt pin.

I've purchased a couple of pins from Nagle Forge and find their work excellent. Great attention to detail.

That is an awesome buckle. It looks like a very good quality casting. Thanks for turning us on to Nagleforge. There is a lot of nice stuff on their site.

If they are willing to create buckles with multiple belt posts (maybe as special orders) they will flourish. Good looking girth fastener.

That's one of the nicest buckles I've seen in a long time. Lucky you!

As you say, it's a pity they don't yet have photos of their buckles on the website but hopefully they will in due course.

That is a amazing buckle! The casting is indeed very well done. Of course now I am a bit mad at you because you showed me something that will further empty my wallet

Been familiar with these folks for several years -- good stuff! Sorry I missed seeing you, Phil, I was there Saturday myself!

Interesting name, nagalfar being the name of the ship built from the nails of dead men and crewed by Loki and his hoards at the ragnarok (the Norse end of the world). So nagal is old norse for nail, I don't know if it also means metal nails though.
