New member with some ex hire kilts

Hello, I've learned a fair amount from the forum over the past few weeks so I thought it only fair that I give a little back by giving some info on some ex hire kilts I've recently bought from ebay. I was a bit worried that ex hire would be a bit of a gamble and there's not too much about ex hire in the archives so I decided to give it a shot and not expect too much but as you'll see it turned out better than I had expected.

First we have a "highland mist" tartan. This is a 36 in waist kilt. I don't have the numbers with me right now but I think I remember that I counted 73 setts of width 125mm giving a length of 9.125m or 9.9 yd. I took a picture of the strap as well and all straps are in the same good condition.

Now we see the "Strath blue" which is has a 34 in waist. Again I don't have the exact numbers with me but I recall that the sett count was 80 and the sett width was 95mm giving 7.6m or 8.3 yd. The straps are in the same good condition as demonstrated above.

All in all I'm delighted and never expected an ex hire kilt to be of such good quality. I don't know how much they weigh but they're "heavy". So to the price, well they were only 99 pounds each. The seller is called tartan4less on the UK ebay. I have no connection with the seller other than the purchase of the two kilts above.
