simple sporran
no pics yet soon
being NY and history/military hobbyist I wanted to rough out something a soldier might have gotten a non scot to make ..locally ..I ended up with a sort of [skeet] pouch 5tx6wx2"d to accommodate my wallet and keys while either at ..games or camp wherever .
having some rough deer hid doing nothing ..I ended up doubling the hides ..and adding stiffners out of paint sticks in key spots and sewing them in ..also beaded edge to toughen it up ..
on last lap now ..and need to make ..brass loops to run a few ..hopefully hand braided thongs mocking highland style thru as a lock device to flap ..
also ..using a single skin of tan mink from old fly tying stole as a flap cover .. I just wanted to add in ..some critter ..trying to get the proportion just right ..has to follow the making of brass rings ..and thong pulls ..
I was up Fort Ti and watched the shoemaker ..and his sewing techniques with a ..awl and needle array got inspired so I started cutting

Sounds like an interesting project. I would love to see some photos when you are finished.
