Double kilt pins Yes or No
I like to be a bit different and as ive got more kilts sporrans and pins etc I fined I have an excess of pins so I like to use 2 pins on my kilts. if I go out I almost always do this. I just like the look of them like this and I have quight few now so like to use them. what do you lot think this is my kilt pin collection to date on the kilts as I keep them ready for going out. I doubt I will start a new trend in double pining but I think they look cool.

I like the look as well. Though I think two swords would look off, but the way you have them mixed looks great. On the kilt pin thread I saw a Led Zeppelin motif with the runes on a black kilt I thought looked badass.

I too double my kilt pins (lately because of the Autumn breezes) but I like the arrangement of certain themes of pins that make a statement. To each his own.

That also reminds me I want to get an USAF pin and a SrA pin to use on my USAF kilt. To really drive home I was in and that is what I was when I got out lol.

I usually stick to one pin at a time, not wishing to draw attention away from the tartan of the kilt itself, with two exceptions. As a (formerly avid) fly fisherman I sometimes use 4 small enameled trout pins (Brook, Brown, Cutthroat, and Rainbow trout) in a slightly spaced diamond cluster to appear as a mixed school swimming in the same direction, away from the fringe edge of the apron. The other time is when I use a trio of brass hunting horn pins in a triangle, to echo similar horns in the family crest, and only with the family tartans. (for those who get picky our family has no chief and the crest, in a few variant forms, is freely used among the family). Sorry, although I have done this several times each I have never taken pictures of it. Next time.

Look at saundersinsignia.com for medals, patches and your wings. They've got them there, cookingkilted. That's where I got my Army air-corps replacements.

I don't ordinarily think to gang multiple pins onto a single kilt, but I do have one particular set of pins that I will jointly mount on one of my kilts, all simply because of the way they reinforce a common theme.
Specifically, my "Leaf Peeper" tartan, inspired by the October foliage of an area that I consider a childhood second home, gets a number of enameled fall-colored leaf pins. I vary the arrangement, but the only photo I have that clearly shows the multiple pins is this one...

What a great collection. It really is a matter of style. Not that I have any kilt pins yet, but pairing a couple of complimentary pins, as you have, doesn't look "bad" to me.

yes as long as they go together. I liked the leaves in unixken's photo.
