    Hi from South Africa, Pretoria

    Hi all.

    Thank you for the acceptance.

Im born in 1987 in South Africa, so yes I'm Afrikaans. I'm an Mechanical Engineer working in the HVAC Consulting Industry.

I have 1 kilt. Its a Hunting Stewart Tartan and the inspiration came from my father who served in the SADF (South African Defense Force) in the '80. One of the regiments he served was the Pretoria Highlanders Regiment and as a Military Reenactmentor and Collector I wanted a Pretoria Highlanders Regiment uniform. Its unique as there is not a lot of units in South Africa that wears kilts and that the Pretoria Highlanders Regiment does not exist anymore as it was disbanded after '94.

    Thank you again.

    Hi François,

You will meet many here who have connections to the military. Wearing a tartan inspired by your father is a wonderful way to acknowledge his service.
