Greetings from Ontario!
Hello folks, I've been reading X Marks The Scot for the last two years on and off as whenever I did any kind of research on kilts/the wearing and purchasing of, this forum was almost always the top result! So I figured now that I have a few of my own and have started to wear them at least once or twice a month, it was about time to join up.
So far I have a 5 yard 16oz maple leaf and a 5 yard 16oz purple tweed, both knife pleated, but my eventual goal is to someday have one of each pleat style (kingussie, box, etc)!
As the username suggests, I'm also a big fan of tweed (I'm a gardener by profession so it feels fitting) and my outfits tend to bear this out, to wit:
V my first time wearing the kilt / my most recent outing this tuesday (chilly winds) V

So I'm often looking to expand my horizons on that front as well (within reason)
Anyway, glad I finally joined proper and can see what I've been missing out on these past years!

Welcome from Glasgow (from a temporary resident)!
I lived next to Ontario, California for a while and that is always the first place that pops into my mind when I see your home province.
I'm a big fan of tweed, and I think it words very well with a kilt. Looking good above. Should check out tweed kilt jackets; the cut helps display the kilt a bit more.

So far I have a single braemar jacket which I quite like, but as of yet I've only used it for formal events, it feels a little too dressy most of the time. Maybe that owes mostly to the colour (charcoal), but I'm definitely interested in getting some other day jackets in different colours and patterns someday. Currently I poach jackets and vests from my suits and sportcoats whenever I kilt up.
