    NYC

Sorry I've been away for so long, my friends. I have recently returned from a trip to New York City. I was simply on vacation, visiting my friend Scott, who works in the photography business, thus he takes lots of pictures. There's a few new pics of me in my gallery, wearing my survival kilt (which is probably my favorite kilt so far). I had this preconceived notion that New Yorkers had seen everything, that they probably wouldn't even cast a sideways glance at a man in a kilt, but I was proved wrong. I wore a kilt constantly, and got looks from thousands of people every day. On rare occassions, someone would work up the courage to begin a conversation with me, but for the most part I was left alone.

I really wish I could remember the name of the Irish pub I visited in New Hyde Park. It was a really tiny place that couldn't fit more than a dozen people. I walked in to find about 6 or 7 guys who seemed like they had been regulars at this bar for the past 40 years. They immediately struck up conversation with me and started buying me drinks. By the time I left, they all shook my hand and told me to come back again. Friendly place.

    Hey Phil!

I was just thinking the other day that I haven't seen your or Lance around in a long time. Is you computer still having problems?

Glad to hear that your NYC trip was a good one. Who knew you'd get stared at in NYC? Must be because you weren't wearing all black. I was looking at your pics, and can honestly say that's the first time I've seen a bowtie with a utilikilt!

    Must've been the bowtie
Nice pictures, looks like two pictures from the Met, and does that subway station happen to be Bowling Green?

I couldn't tell you anything about the subway station, but those other pictures are indeed from the MET. As for bowties, I recently found one that matches the tartan of one of my kilts.
