Inverted Pleat

Hi everyone,
I’m in the midst of making an 8 yard kilt with 16oz MacDonald of Clanranald weathered tartan. Anyway, I’m about to go to the part where I make the inverted pleat. I’m reading the instructions from The Art of Kiltmaking and my head just isn’t wrapping around it for some reason. Would anyone have any pictures of doing this step? I find I’m more of a visual learner and if I saw someone doing this I’d likely be able to figure it out.
