    Hello from New Hampshire

Hello there. I have always know that my heritage was Mostly French and some Scottish. I did the Ancestry DNA and was surprised at the results. 44% French and 24% Scottish the remaining 32% is a mix of Nordic and Scandinavian. I bought my first kilt a year ago and discovered that I'm not much of a fan of the utility kilt. Not wanting to judge kilts based on a cheap utility kilt I bought a couple from Tartanista. I got a great deal on the Rob Roy 8 yd kilt ($16) and I got Blackwatch Weathered. I'm a big fan of the Rob Roy tartan (No lineage link as my Roy surname is from France). I've always had flannel shirts and blankets in that pattern, and now I have a decent kilt for short money.

My maternal side is Adams which goes back to Scotland as a sept of Clan Gordon, so I'm looking at getting a Gordon tartan. If there are others on here in NH; I'd love to get more involved with Scottish society. Looking at the NHscots event at Labelle Winery on Jan 1.

Glad to be here and hope to learn more from this group.

I enjoy fishing, ham radio and I am very involved in the VFW. I am currently a Post Commander as well as NH District 6 Commander. It's my way of still giving back to the community.
