Last fall I was camping with a whole group of friends (about twenty or so). One of them was wearing a kilt his wife had made. Ignoring for the moment that the hem was a good four inches below his knee, she had not apparently made any way to actually hold the kilt on. To keep the kilt closed, he was using one of the military over-sized safety pins, assuming that was what the kilt pin was for. Around this he had put on a belt. During the course of a drunken evening around the campfire, he adjusted his belt, accidentally unfastening the kilt pin. Several minutes later, the kilt started to slide down until it dropped in a puddle around his ankles. His wife, sitting across the fire, is staring at him with this "***" expression on her face. I had a camera, and still didn't get a picture.

Since then "kilts gone wild" has been a standing joke with the group.

I suppose camping in a kilt is a "do", and depending on a kilt pin to keep your kilt on (sort of) is a "don't".

Looks dangerous?!? The man is CHARGING INTO BATTLE. You think Wallace wondered if it was "kind of dangerous"? Noooo sir, haha! You're from Scotland, you better than anybody should know that Scots laugh in the face of danger (see: any battle the Scots fought).
