I have a welsh dragon as mine, since I don't like the sword ones, which is odd since I have a collection of swords...

Okay, here's one for the rabble, from a wedding I attended a couple of weeks ago - a kilted man in a bowler hat.

I'm not sure how he ended up holding the bouquet after the ceremony, so let's just ignore that.
    Opinions on the ensemble?

Oh, and from the same wedding - a couple of obvious do's and don'ts.
Do wear a kilt to your wedding.
Don't wait until the morning of the ceremony to deliver the groomsmen's kilt outfits to them. Proper fit and all that.

    The Bowler Strikes Out

No, nay, never! Buy the man a glengarry or a balmoral or convince him to go bare-headed (see So I Married An Axe Murderer). A formal Scottish outfit should be topped with a formal Scottish cap. He also has the same problem I have except that he's too tall whereas I'm too fat: his jacket is too short in the body (though the sleeves are just right). It's not so apparent on him or the groomsmen because they're all wearing vests, but I recognize the look. The shoes look good but there's no sgian dhubs and the ghillie brogues look slightly out of place.

What do y'all think? What type of outfit goes with a baseball cap, tweed cap, cowboy hat, or a wide-brim straw planter's hat?

But then, he's also wearing a necktie and pointed collar, not a bowtie with wingtips. I think the bowler looks fine and he carries it off quite well (a hat's not a hat unless it's tilted!), all in all rather sharp.

Personally, I like the dog on the right best. All of them look pretty fine for the 30th of a second it took to open and close the shutter, but he looks the best of the lot, except that he is missing a portion of one toe from his left fore-foot.

I'm afraid that I must disagree in part with the last post.
My brother does have all his toes (and fingers).

Oh, and svc40bt was well turned out in his USAK Hunting MacLeod, too.

Aside from lack of flashes and a sgain dubh, I agree. I couldn't pull it off myself, but i think he looks great.

So, submitting this to the rabble for critique---
