On that note, I wonder if there is a Mark Heisleman (sp?) from Michigan here, I remember once when I worked at a store that he was involved in that he mentioned competing in a highland games in Saline MI.

After the ceremony was over, I think the couple would have approved. But during? I don't know...

Today at the ren fest (my wife didn't take no pics of me, but i was there in a black kilt with a BW3 blazing challenge shirt on... anyways..) I saw what at first I though was a guy dressed up in a kinda scottish way, but the pleats didn't look right, then he turned around.... the guy has no knees! well, perhaps he did, but I think that there are other issues at hand, but I am still new after all...

I think perhaps it was the belt....hmmm

Really, I know the shirts and jerkens can get expensive, but it seems like an odd place to skimp, unless I'm not seasoned enough to recognize a kilt yet...

    Opinions on the ensemble?
This person has a distinct female air.

Well, does he look less feminine here?

Again, he was holding the bouquet while his new bride was doing something, so could we please restrict our comments to the bowler hat/kilt combination, please.

Yep. He is a dude right enough. I favor older style hats, especially the fedora, but I have no problem with the bowler. It's his head so he can adorn it any way he likes.

I think he looked great. Personally, I wouldn't wear a derby with a kilt, but he brought his own style to an outfit that looked pretty well done.
