Back in the early days of Utilikilts, they offered a tiedye model. It was shipped off to someone to do. This is an original model with pleats all around and a zipper closure. If I recall correctly it's vintage was 2001-2002

That is not a kilt, unless he has it on backwards, it's pleated in the front.

I believe some of the original UKs were pleated in the front as Canuck says. I know a couple of X Marks'ers own original Originals. I believe they were discontinued as they were not as popular as those with a front apron.

Since the pleats are in the front, maybe he's a UC Berkeley cheerleader.

In the beginning all Utilikilts were pleated all around to the front with a zipper fly. When the new style of pleating came out they called this style Standard and is no longer available. The newer style called the Original is still available.

Original is a model (like Survival, Mocker, etc.) In the beginning, all models were offered with two closures: the Standard (fly and pleats all around) and the Neo-Trad (narrow apron and snaps).
