    Found this on kiltday.com

the shirt coordinates well with the tartan colors, and the kilt length looks right. if this is a day game i think i see 2 fox paws, shoes and sporran (although that one may be considered a semi-dress?). if it's a night game, just one fox paw, the shirt. have i got that right? after reading 68 pages of postings, i hope something has stuck.

The footballer is Neil Scally of Falkirk FC. He is modelling the Falkirk FC Tartan for the local newspaper, The Falkirk Herald.

... a new image for an area that is rising from the ashes of its former industrial glory.[/color]
    Thanks for that, kiltedjaz.

You unwittingly reminded me of this:

‘I had a club in Falkirk.’ ‘Went bust, did it?’

Mangold shook his head. ‘Just got fed up with the hassle: staff problems, local gangs trying to rip the place up . . .’

    ‘Too many responsibilities?’ Rebus suggested.

Mangold put the glasses back on again. ‘I suppose that’s what it boils down to. The glasses aren’t just for show, by the way.’ Again it was as if he could read Rebus’s thoughts. ‘My retinas are oversensitive; can’t take the bright lights.’

‘Is that why you started a club in Falkirk?’

A week ago the pipe band played on the midway at the local rodeo/stampede/fair in ~100 F. degree heat. At the conclusion of our performance, perhaps due to the dehydration and the onset of diminished mental capacity, I suggested that a couple of us consider going on the "Tilt-A-Whirl" and we could re-christen it the "Kilt-A-Whirl." The comment got a good laugh, but I got no takers, so several of us proceeded to a more appropriate location -- a beer booth with a fine, large awning for shade.

On any given day there are probably dozens of lurkers on this site, and I'm sure many are getting a chuckle out of this thread. But one of them might happen to be this particular fellow. If you knew the subject of the photo was reading this, what would you say? How would you phrase your critique if he actually asked for one?

I've never seen a denimn kilt before (at least, I think it's denimn). The idea of a denimn kilt seems wrong somehow. The other criticims I have include his beard, but that is beyound the scope of this thread, except to say that they combine to form an unusual image.
