What a beautiful series of pictures. I've never seen the Scott Monument before, it's quite beautiful. And I had no idea the castle was so... castle-ish! Thanks for sharing these pictures. You've really increased the urge to see these places in real life!

You evil man you! My wife and I were able to visit Edinburgh two years ago and we have been planning our next trip and your pictures showed placed we want to visit again... I wonder if we can pull off this year instead of next!

Yes, we saw the penguin walk on Sunday too, but there was such a crowd that I couldn't get in to the front for some pics. A fine sunny weekend after three dark wintry months of rain and gales and families were out in force after the long winter and the zoo was very busy.

The penguins should be down here in snowy Wales at the moment - they would love it!
I hope I can dig myself out in time for next week and that Edinburgh is still in such a spring-like mood!
