And he is still grateful...I've nominated you for sainthood (the pope just giggled though).

    Hey all.

Received my Maple Leaf kilt from MacHummel in the mail on Friday.
Just in time for the Glengarry Highland Games weekend.

Thanks Pete - this is one beautiful kilt !!
The fit and finish is excellent. Love the fabric.

I've had more questions/comments about this tartan than any of the other 10 I wear.
And the Maple Leaf kilt pin is just right.

    Thanks again.

Good to hear Lee. Man you've had the longest wait thus far! My hat's off to ya, and we will raise a pint in your honour at the Fergus games.

    Talking Hurrah - Huzzah - Yipppeeeee - E-I-E-I-O!

Its finally arrived! I picked up my Maple Leaf tartan CCK at the post office around noon. As others have mentioned pictures just do not do this tartan justice. It is freakin' gorgeous.

Whew, this one has been a long jones. I'm not too bad while the fabric is woven and the kilt is being made but when I get a shipping notice I go into high gear. Well MacHummel shipped my kilt on July 20th. Today is August 23rd. Arghhhhhhhhhhh! It's only 500 miles!

Apparently Grant's Evil Minions at Canada Post decided to send my kilt to Guelph where it sat for nearly two weeks before they called MacHummel to tell him they couldn't read my address. After this was remedied Canada Post told MacHummel they would send it "rush" for no extra charge. Harumph!

Oh well, it's here just in time for Saturday's kilt night in Westminster Maryland. Guess what I'll be wearing guys?

Excellent, glad you have joined us in the Maple Leaf club, it remains one of my favorites, why the other day I was wearing it to the grocery store and one of the girls who worked there made me do a spin for her, all because of the gorgeous tartan. Oh we need pictures.

Geographicaly speaking, the beautiful of Guelph* is situated only 15 minutes from Fergus and 45 minutes from Burlington (turn left at Rockwood). Technically they are Pete's minions (but prefer to be called gremlins). Although I have sub-contracted them in the past, I didn't his time. But then again you proved my point by saying:

    Trousers**?

The challenge now Dee, is to take a picture that truly shows off all the gorgeous colours.

*Guelph. Home of Sleeman's brewery, maker of Canada's best beers, lagers and ales. We shall visit it when you come up, we shall crash at Pete's. This is assuming McMurdo has not emptied his fridge. Also a university town full of university girls, each of whom have not had the pleasure of kilt checking me.

**Yes I said the big bad word. One can be so tough and brave sitting at a keyboard thousands of miles away. TROUSERS, TROUSERS, TROUSERS.

At night I turn off all the lights and pull on a pair of trousers.
