Ok, now this is just COOL!
Alrighty, I got my SWK Thrifty Buchanan in the mail yesterday and i just wanted write a brief review.
I ordered my kilt on Friday afternoon around 3:00PM MST. I immediately got a confirmation email saying that they received my order. Then on Sunday afternoon I recieved another email stating that my order would be shipped on the next business day. It took only 72 hours to recieve it which is IMO awesome. Now I understand fully this isn't a TANK, but this kilt is absolutely what i was looking for. I have taken some pictures to show how it looks, but this is what I found as the greatest surprise about my SWK
I knew the kilt was going to be velcro, which is fine. I did NOT know that it was fully reversable! And when I mean fully reversable I mean depending on how I want my pleats to look in the back I can change it!!! One way it is pleated to the Set, and if I reverse it it's pleated to the red stripe. Most of you probably already knew this, but of all the reviews that i have read about SWK i have never heard anyone metion that they were fully reversable! It's almost like I got two kilts for the price of one!
I don't really have anything negative to say about SWK since, I knew the product I was buying. The standard 24 inch length works perfect for me, but if it didn't that would be the only negative thing I could say about this kilt, since it's only a $25 kilt plus S/H which ended up being $34.95 all together i think.
Anyways here are the pictures, I took pictures of both sides so that you could see how awesome this is. I definitely plan to buy a few more kilts from SWK here very soon.
Here's it pleated to the set on one side.
And here's it pleated to the red line on the other side.

Small clarification, The Sett picture is not to Sett. Sett would have the back looking just like the apron where you see all the features of the tartan pattern.
Congrats on the kilt!

You know, I'd never noticed the reversible thing before. My SWK Thrifty in Stewart Black is the same.
If you put it on "right side out", it looks like this...
If you put it on "wrong side out", it looks like this...

I don't think there is a "wrong side out" on these kilts. I think either is perfectly acceptable. It just depends on your preference.

By wrong side out, I mean the side with the size tag. My only question would be is this a fortunate accident of the construction, or done on purpose?

I took the size tag off of mine so, I couldn't even tell which side I was "supposed" to wear it on.
You raise an interesting question though. I wonder if by pleating to the one side it automatically pleated itself to the other line on the reverse side, or if they did it on purpose. All i know for sure though, is I definitely like that i have the option to wear it either way. It wasn't even me that noticed that it could be wore reversed. I had noticed both the sides being pleated different, but i thought because of the velcro that it wouldn't be able to be worn in reverse, but the way they position the velcro it works perfectly.
I'm going to guess that they do it on purpose, but it's probably an accidental pleating benefit. The other 3 kilts i have though, don't reverse like this one does. I just don't know. Oh well, I like it!

Because of consistent pattern of tartan this is just a fringe benefit. Any kilt pleated consistently will do this, It's just that many kilts have a liner on the inside so you would not be able to reverse them without showing the liner. I guess you could call it a short, protective apron if you wanted to

Congratulations on the new kilt.
Looks like an excellent value for money kilt and the optional pleating is a bonus.
