    Need replacement buckles for kilt

I have a kilt with three straps. The tongues in two of the buckles have broken. Where can I buy buckles, without straps.

    Allen,

There are lots of suppliers that advertise on line. A Google search will bring them up.

All of the civilian kilts I've had over the last 49 years have used the same nickel-plated kilt buckles.

So personally I would go with those; they just "look right" to me.

Be aware that they come in two different sizes:

    to fit a 1.5 inch (38mm) strap

    to fit a 1.18 inch (30mm) strap.

So you'll have to see what size your straps are.

Here's a place that shows three sizes! I've never seen the smallest one, 3/4 inch, on a man's kilt.

About Tandy, I don't really care for their buckles, for kilts.

Here's their closest-looking 1.5 inch (you want the kind of buckle where the tongue is on a central bar)

    and here's their closest-looking 1.18 inch (30mm)

Try one of the hobby shops. I get things like blanket pins, never looked for buckles. We don’t have a Hobby Lobby but we have a Michael’s that I use regularly. Good luck.
I hope to be able to get to the games in Larinburg.
