    Sporran Strap

I have been trying to find leather straps to go with my Buzz Kidder sporrans, but I was not finding what I wanted.

Yesterday I found this site on the web and proceeded immediately to go to the shop and place an order. I'm getting one in both black and light brown. They will have celtic stamping.

I will post some pictures when I get them.

    The cost is 30CAD ea.

They are in the process of upgrading their site. Greg said that they had some 150 photos to add. I'm not sure about prices, as a lot of their work is custom. But they seemed like good people and a quick email or phone call will get you a price quote.

He also had some good ideas and suggestions. The celt stamping was his idea. He also knows what sporrans are and how they are worn.

As they say, "The proof is in the pudding." I shall see when I get my straps. Will update.

    Casey,

Did you receive your custom straps?

You could try a Tandy leather store. You can often find suitable material on sale.

Yes, I received my straps. They are quite sturdy, to the point of having some intial difficulty getting the strap through the keeper. They also required a lot of hand softening. He also did an excellent job of matching the brown to the sporran.

The only disappointment is the celtic stamping didn't happen.
