    Help please

Its 8.30am here in the UK. I would like to purchase today an all leather sporran strap. If anyone reads this in the next few hours and knows somewhere in the UK that sells them I would really appreciate you letting me know. I have looked at one or two kilt websites and they only sell straps with chains. I would like to order one today if I can. Thanks in anticipation

    Try this Derek,

It looks like they might have leather straps at the bottom of the chain strap price list.

Thanks guys for your help. I've decided I will have 2 leather straps. When I first re checked here only Bears post had arrived and I went with that. So I have ordered 1 with Piob Mhor. However ... David .. I most certainly would like one if you could make one. Its even better to have something that you know has been made by a friend (even though we never met I know). I'll pm you the length of my present strap as it is when on me.
If you two guys were nearer I buy you both a welsh real
    Thanks for your help

    Hi Derek,

This is too late I know (only just logged on!), but I would have said that any supplier of Highland Dress worth their salt would have these in stock, although the straps are not necessarily listed, they usually have a few tucked under the counter!!!

As it happens, I can vouch for David's suggestion of Hector Russell as I picked up a couple of spares in their Princes Street branch whilst I was in Edinburgh last month. They were roughly £6.95 each (but not good quality leather!).

A few months back, I ordered two (one black, one brown) from a local saddler of high repute. Unusually for tight-fisted me, I didn't ask the price but, when I went to collect them a week later, I was horrified to be told the straps were £12.25 each They are of really top grade hide and it was my fault for not getting a quote when I placed the order, but I did manage to talk him down to £10.00 each. I'll not be going there again!!!

You'll be more than satisfied with the "Freelander Strap", I know it

    Love to Elaine, and
