    Kilted in Seattle.

I just returned from a 5-day trip to the Seattle area. I was kilted most of the time there and had a great time.

Kilted John and I got together and he showed me around the area. It's always nicer to visit a strange town when you have an experienced "tour guide" to show you places you'd never normally see. He took us over the the UK shop where they talked me out of a bunch of money.

On Wednesday we drove up the peninsula to Port Townsend where we met up with Alan, a Bravehearts forum member. We had a very nice visit and he showed us a great little Celtic shop that a friend of his owns. Nice place, lots of cool things to look at. I managed to part ways with a bunch of cash in that store. LOL

Here's a pic of us at the pub...John is on the left, I'm in the center, and Alan is on the right.

Aha! I was just complaining that I found no kilted souls in Seattle, and it was because you were inside drinking the whole time!

    I ought to have known.

Heh, yeah, both of us were drinking Sprite and Coke... ;-) Still had about 160 km to travel afterwards. At least, we did stumble across a place with real good fish 'n chips (for the U.S.A.)...

I could always come back so there'd be 3 Alans in kilts in PT at the same time. A regular "Al's Nest", if you will.

These kilted get-togethers are great. I've now had the pleasure of meeting up with several kindred spirits from North America when they've passed through London, or Gatwick Airport which is close-ish to my home.

Actually, Alan from Port Townsend is about to leave for the UK and I am expecting to meet him in London on 18th April for a drink or two (maybe he'll be able to tell me why the three of you were so unhappy when the photo was being taken!! ).

Then on May 22nd, our good friend Rigged and his wife will be in town, so we are set to meet for a bite to eat together.

In July, but not from North America, there's some fellow from Tasmania due to take the UK by storm. The signs are, however, (get it? The SIGNS?!) that our paths might not cross since, at the last count, he was due in London the day I fly out to Vancouver for The Gathering - July 31st. If that proves to be the case, I'll be disappointed (very) as he seems to be the sort of fellow one HAS to meet.

Is there anyone else I should add to my list?
