Hello!
Hello everyone,
I've so much enjoyed reading all your stories & comments, that I finally decided to put 'finger to keyboard', and say Hello!
I will probably embarrass myself by asking some very naive questions, so my apologies for this.
Yes, I'm Scottish, and Yes, I live in Scotland. My Username should give you a clue as to where exactly...if you know your stuff... ;)
Best regards.

Welcome Granite,
Let me guess now. Could it be Aberdeen by any chance?
What kilt do you wear?
Rob (who really likes granite country, being originally from Devon, where we have Dartmoor granite)

Kilted in Detroit! Now that's tough.... LOL

Well done Rob!
Aberdeen it is, otherwise known as the Granite City, or the Silver City with the Golden Sands....
My kilt is a traditional in the colours of Ancient Carmichael, handmade by a local lady with fifty years experience of the craft.
Thanks for the friendly welcome...

Hello and a warm welcome , I'll be moving to the Aberdeenshire area soon perhaps we could met up for a beer.

Beer good idea !
While we're on the subject of beer maybe the Scottish contingent could all meet for a beer and call it a kilt night, like the American crowd do ?

Hey Granite, it's good to have you "voice-up"!
Don't be apologetic about questions. That's how MANY members decided to go before purchasing a kilt. The information on this site will serve to save you money, save you headaches, and give you a good chuckle every now and then. Glad you're here!

Amen to what Jimmy said about guys asking questions, and getting incredible answers on this forum.
I originally became a member here so I could have a few questions answered. Next thing I know, a part of my life is revolving around this place.
So, I just want to extend a warm welcome from Idaho, and encourage you to keep asking questions.
