    Stewart Old Sett - info?

Does anyone have information concerning the history/pedigree of the Stewart Old Sett tartan? On the Tartans Authority web site (www.tartansauthority.com) it is listed as ITI No. 000319 (Designed by Wilsons of Bannockburn, pre 1745).

The article about Royal Tartans has this to say about the Stewart Old Sett:

STEWART OLD - Also worn by the Queen on holiday at Royal Deeside and also favoured by the late HM Queen Mother. A distinctive tartan it originally belonged to the Stewarts of the Western Highlands.

I'm sure I can dig up a few more things in some books at home.

    Cheers,
