    Yes. I'm Bloody Sure!

I have never accidently hit the log out button. When I choose to log out, it's usually because I have read all the posts and I want to leave. If, someday in the distant future, I accidently hit the log out button, I am quite prepared to believe in my ability to re-log on to the forum.

I am ALWAYS sure I want to log out!

Is there some place I can't find that I can turn that bloody idiot switch off? It's insulting to the intelligence level we have on this forum.
I don't mean this to be aimed at you, Hank. Nowadays, everything is so idiot proof that intelligent people can't cope.

Why bother logging out? Why not just surf to another site?

That way, you'll still be logged in when you come back.

Not logging out does not really speak to the issue of having the forum question my abilities.
I choose to log out. Why should the forum be programmed to question my ability to click a mouse at a fairly small area on the screen?

    Bear,

I can't help you with the whys of this system. I can tell you what I do.
When you sign in make sure you do not have a check in the
    "remember me" box.
When you get ready to leave just hit the x in the corner of the screen (if you are using explorer). It will not ask if you are sure.
When you come back It will ask you to sign in again.

Terry...I think alot of programs are set up to ask because of the high number of incidents where people accidently log out. I assume that enough people complained to make it worthwhile asking if they do indeed wish to log out. Yes, it's quite frustrating going through the drill each time, but I have had occasions where I'd clicked the log-out button by mistake.
