Man of Style

I wore my kilt to church this morning. I am the music director so I got to play the organ in it. I have never played better. Much more free without leggins. I was a bit concerned because some of the hymns were proverbial "nut-busters" (which is what you call a piece that has difficult pedal work). Everything just sorta "fell into place" (pun intended)!

The minister felt compelled to call me a "man of style" this morning before his sermon, after congratulating me on my choice of hymns. (Of course we sang HYFRYDOL (pronounced Hee-vree-thol), the Welsh hymn that means "high cheer." Our associate pastor told me after the service he studied in Edinburgh and wore a kilt on Sunday, just like I was doing. Others in the congregation had nothing but compliments. So, Sunday kilt-wearing in certainly a good place to start.

I even stopped to get gas, and also I stopped to visit one of my partner's real estate clients at the adult toy store in Key Largo. The looks I got were complimentary in and of themselves, too.

All-in-all, a very nice "first time" experience...

I too am a Sunday church goer /kilt wearer I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Having seen your picture I must comment on your choice of hose colour. In my opinion I think you should try a more neutral tone Maybe it's just the light in the picture they just seem rather bright.

Anyway keep on kilting

Well done Reece, I have found mostly positive responses in church, when visiting other churches I mean. I even attended my son's church in Denmark recently, the response was good except for one lady who asked what was under the kilt. I told her I was surprised to hear that question in a church group. :-x

The Welsh hymn sounds great, I would love to hear you play! I love the organ.

If you like gymnastics, d'ya think you'd be up to Bach's B-minor whilst kilted???

No - I think he should try Bach's Fugue in G Major (the Jig).
