    A work of art

Recently, a Bravehearts member and friend bought a painting. It is over 100 years old, the subject of it attracted me - men working in kilts!

This is a poor photo of it, I've borrowed it and have an artist calling to see it today to discuss painting a replica to adorn my own wall.

    thought I'd share it.

Interesting painting Graham. Just took me back 22 years to my college days, had a professor that authored a book on sheep shearing methods in the ancient world. I think I might see if I can locate a copy.

I don't suppose your artist would be willing to create a NEW painting of a bearded and kilted gentleman walking through the Tasmanian terrain?;)

If you're gong to spend the money, why not get something to pass along?

Nice painting, although socks in the water give it that posed look.

Ancient method of shearing is still used and preferred by some. At the Fergus games we met a pleasant shearer (feel like I'm about to start the pheasant plucker story, don't go there). He was kilted, New Zealand if I remember correctly and he described the different methods still used.

A good thought Jimmy, and worthy of consideration. Thanks
