    In honor of Riverkilt...

Well, I got up this morning to a gorgeous sunny day and 62 degrees. However, it is supposed to drop all day and be 31 tomorrow morning! So I decided this might be the last day I will be able to wear my tan AK as it is just too light for cold weather. So I went to the closet and grabbed it and the first shirt that came to hand. Looked in the mirror after getting dressed and decided that I had put together an ensemble that made me fee like I was paying a tribute to Ron, so had to post a pic.

Rob, as I slowly scrolled down over your photo, I thought, "Oh great! What a well-co-ordinated outfit. Slightly jazzy or fussy shirt, but hey, it tones with the kilt very nicely", ................. and then I came to the hose............!!;)

Spewing on the screen again!!

(Not over the PIC but the comments)

Not to be rude but I don't think I'd wear black kilt hose with anything. I wear black socks with ANY trews I wear since I don't care to have to match anything. Wiith my kilts (all of you would seriously spew if I posted PICs) I try to coordinate with the shirt.

Ya know KCW, Hamish does say it with love: Tracy has been much more brutal in describing my inability to match my Garanimal tops to the Garanimal bottoms. Sometimes I think she's upset that what she couldn't do in 15 years of marriage (color coordination) seems to be happening on its own due to kilts.

Bryan...I'd wear sandals with that kilt/shirt, screw the socks...

And I thought nobody was ever going to see this picture! Posted it this morning and after the whole day, was feeling left out. Not only no comments, but not even a comment that I looked stupid! I feel much better now, thanks guys!:-D

Seriously, this was a self portrait and the hose are not accurately represented (although Ham, you may still not like them! :grin. They are actually a dark, heather green that matches some of the patterning in the shirt. The pic just does not show it. They are almost an exact match (just slightly darker) for the darkest grey-green down the center of the shirt near the buttons. And Ham, I agree it was a slightly jazzy, or what I would term funky, look. It fit my mood this AM. I have been being very careful to be formal when going to the office, but after almost 2 months, I decided I could relax a bit.

They're probably still too dark for the outfit. I think maybe some nice lovat blus hose would match the more dominant colors of the shirt and look much better.

Well thanks Dave for an actual suggestion on hose colour. I was waiting for Hamish to offer an alternative and put us all out of our misery;)

I've been guilty of wearing dark hose at the wrong times too.

Bryan, I would totally agree, but I find that while I am pretty warm-blooded (lots of insulation!) sandals, an AK, and short sleeve shirt would be just too cool(!) for the weather here now. I fear that my pipe and bag would be permanently damaged from the cold! Not to mention the dress code at work.

    Thanks KCW,

    I like it...

I'm all for jazzy shirts and vests to liven up solid kilts.

I own a bunch of black kilt hose and black soccer sox....usually wear them with black kilts...the learning curve on this fashion kilt stuff is steep for some of us in the colonies ;-)
