    No piper? I'm sorry to have to tell you but I don't think the ceremony is technically binding if there isn't a piper involved somehow.

    The priest is obviously eastern rite - Melkite, Ruthenian, or Lebanese?

    The Church looked great, but not as great as your lovely bride, or her dashing groom!

    That would be Fr. Conan Timoney, Protopresbyter for the Middle States Syncellate of the Eparchy of Passaic in the Ruthenian Metropolita of Pittsburgh.

    In short, Ruthenian

    But we got married in her parents Italian church.

    So it went like this. Kilted Scots-German groom married by an Irish priest of a Slavic church in an Italian parish followed by a Polish reception complete with the singing of Spadla z Wisni and polka.

    How about that for a melting pot?
